Benjara Misty- Foaled 2007 by By WP Kreskin's Majik IMP (Curly) from Lyn Lin's Pocahontas (B57192 Appaloosa). Benjara Misty is a full sister to Eliza and Meg's super dopper Curly Appaloosa Benjara Dieago, which they compete in Junior showjumping classes. Their sire WP Kreskin's Majik is a pure breed Bashkir Curly and was imported to Australia from America by Annette Field of Benjara Curly Horse Stud. The Bashkir Curly horses are well known to be Hypo-allergenic and most people allergic to horses can handle the Curly Horse without suffering any to very little allergic reaction – Research indicates a protein is missing from the coat of the Curlies which may be what causes the allergic reactions to horses in allergy sufferers.- a dream come true for allergic horse lovers giving them the chance to pursue their love of horses.
Curlies are characteristically quiet, level headed horses that make excellent first horses for supervised beginner riders. Curlies have carried horse-allergenic riders from beginner status through to more advanced stages of riding. The Curlies are known for their calm, intelligent and friendly personality and show an easily trainable temperament. They are also known for having a tough constitution and great stamina. The Curly has a characteristic long stride and bold movement. They have tough hooves, strong bones and exceptional endurance. Most people have found that the curlies enjoy being around people. The curlies are typically not flightly, they tend to do more reasoning than most breeds. They are very reliable and have a great work ethic. The other thing about Curlies is they are well known for being non spooky type horses. We have worked with several Curly bred horses now and have found them to be very true to the Curly breed in the traits they exhibit. The dam is a registered Appaloosa, which most appaloosa's are quiet talented at jumping. 2019- VL Qurly by Cera Quantro |
